:: Have finally FULLY recovered from the worst case of food poisoning I've ever had! I wouldn't have thought it was that, but a co-working and I had the exact same lunch last Wednesday then both were home sick as dogs on Thursday. SHE, however, recovered much faster than I did. She was feeling better by Friday afternoon... I was not able to keep anything in my system until Monday afternoon! That was indeed HORRIBLE!!! I ended up loosing 6 1/5 pounds between Thursday Morning and Monday afternoon! Not my advice for weight loss!
:: Went to a college day to tour Texas Tech with Kelsey. Mom is NOT a fan! I think it will eat her up and swallow her in one gulp!! We will be going to tour Tarlenton State this coming Saturday... I'm hoping this will prove to move to a front runner for Kelsey and give mom a better feeling of College life for my baby girl!
:: Trying to get all things College related all lined out and planned on what needs to be taken care of and when. I didn't go through a lot of these steps when I graduated as I knew I wanted to go to Cosmetology school and knew where I wanted to go. And with that being just a "degree" I didn't have to take all the test and worry about the admission letters, waiting on the acceptance letters... Oi! I'm not certain I came make it through this. I'm just thankful we have 7 years before having to deal with it for Brandon! I can tell I'm going to need that time to recover.
:: We did our pear harvest for this year. It was a meek little harvest compared to last years, but we have been able to share some pears with others and have made a few batches of Jams already. We plan on making some more jams as well before all is said and done.
:: Been enjoying watching (or listening) to the Rangers games. GO Rangers!
:: Have my "Yearly" check up tomorrow. NOT something I typically look forward to, but this year I'm ready..

DAD IF YOU ARE READING YOU MAY WANT TO SKIP TO THE NEXT BULLET POINT HERE! :)
I have been having some issues for a couple years now. Last year when I went for my appointment I told him that my cycles weren't regular (and up until that point I was VERY regular) he said told me that I was not producing eggs anymore so my hormones were all messed up (basically) he gave me some pills to take the first 7 days of each month, but when I took those pills and then stopped after the 7th day I would have the worst periods imaginable. I seriously thought I would bleed to death some days. Honestly, the fear really did cross my mind several times over the past year. BUT.. the good thing about that was it only lasted like 4 days. Those four days were straight from the depths of HELL, but only four days. Now fast forward to the end of August.. when I ran out of those pills... I started my cycle again on September 6 !! and have not come off of it since!!! Over a freaking month later. I have had 4 days in that time that I was not bleeding.!!! I am sick of it!! Last year when he gave me those other pills he told me it was either those pills or he could start me on birth control pills that "should" help regulate things. I didn't want to do the birth control pills because I was (at the time) 39 years old and had never been on birth control before NOR did I want to start then! AND my tubes are tied so I don't need the birth control for "birth control' I just don't want to take a pill every stinking day of my life! Soo.... all that to say that I am VERY happy to be going to see my doctor tomorrow because there has GOT to be something that can be done besides what I've been dealing with. The first one that points out that perhaps that is part of getting older I will remove your access from my blog forever!!!!! HA! Just kidding....... kind of :)
:: Okay Daddy !! You can start reading here again! Your baby girl is just fine and nothing at all to worry about. You didn't miss anything by skipping the bullet point above!
:: School is going wonderful for Brandon. He is having a stellar year! His grades are better than they have ever been and he has not gotten in trouble once!! The best thing about it, he can't wait to go to school each day. He even will ride the school bus in the mornings because he wants to get there before he would if he waited on Kelsey to take him. Love that!
:: Kelsey's senior year is going well. She is struggling with her dual credit College Algebra class.. BUT she has always struggled with Math.. I pray that it will click for her soon and she wont have to struggle with it so much. She is loving her job and has been able to start a nice little nest egg for herself.
:: Gary is amazing! He is better to me then I ever deserve.
:: A Woot Woot and a pat on the back for me and Gary!!. We have been going to Weight Watchers meetings together for the past 10 weeks. We were actually lucky enough to be able to have a meeting come to my office on Tuesday evenings, so Gary will drive over to my office and join our meeting. It has been so much fun and so motivating. Gary has lost 30.2 pounds!!!!! I am so very proud of him. I love seeing the look of accomplishment on his face at each meeting when he weighs in and has a loss. Everyone at my office loves him and is glad that he is our anchor most weeks! As for me, I am now at 22.6 pounds lost!!
:: Well that a was a rather large "nutshell" as my subject referred to this as. But what else is new, once I start typing I can't control myself!

HUGE pat on the back to both you and Gary! That is an amazing amount of weight for you both to have lost over 10 weeks.
I'm sorry you were so terribly sick, food poisoning and stomach bugs are no fun!
I hope everything goes well at your doctor's appointment. Please keep us posted as you feel the need to. Female issues can never be easy to deal with. I hope they are able to get your cycle back to normal again, and get rid of the 4 days of hell.
Glad the kids are doing well. I'm sure it's nice when they enjoy going to school and don't put up such a fight. I can't believe Kelsey is looking at COLLEGES!!! Where has the time gone?!?!!
Good update!!! Hope your doc had some answers for you, how awful to live with that for so long. I must advocate the pill actually. I think it would lessen the problem big time and be very consistent. And yay for you two on the weight loss. Those are huge numbers!!! Keep it up!!!
Just wanted you and Gary to know that Willie LOVES your pears and pear jam. He gets so excited when he knows I am peeling and slicing a fresh pear for him. Thanks for sharing them with us.
